About 2-step verification

2-step verification means providing 2 types of information to confirm your identity. By turning this feature on, you're adding a step that provides an extra layer of security when logging in to AccèsD.

It's simple: once you've entered your password on AccèsD, a single-use security code will be sent to you by notification from the mobile app or by text message. You'll have to enter the code to log in to your account.

2-step verification is available to both personal and business members.

Detailed instructions

Steps to enable 2-step verification on AccèsD from your computer, tablet or smartphone.

  1. Log in to AccèsD from your computer, tablet or smartphone. On the AccèsD overview page, click Profile and preferences.
  2. Under Security settings, select Security and password.
  3. In the Security and password screen, click 2-step verification.
  4. In the 2-step verification screen, use the toggle button to turn the feature on.
    You can turn 2-step verification off by clicking the toggle button again. The status will change from On to Off.
  5. Select how you want your security code to be sent to you (by notification from the mobile app or by text message).
    Make sure you've installed the Desjardins mobile app on your mobile device and have your device handy to receive security code notifications or text messages.
  6. Enter the security code you received by text message or notification and click Continue.
  7. A confirmation message will appear.
