Join a financial institution that’s focused on you and your community.
Differences between a bank and a financial cooperative
Bank
A bank is run by senior management, appointed by a board of directors who represent the shareholders. The goal of a bank is clear: to maximize profits for shareholders.
Financial cooperative
A financial cooperative doesn’t belong to shareholders. It’s administered by a board of directors elected by its members. Every decision is made with one goal: to do what’s best for our members.
What sets us apart
Our financial cooperative was created to help people and communities prosper in every way, not just financially.
A financial institution designed for you
Tailored products and services
Joining our financial cooperative gives you solutions specifically designed to meet your needs. You’ll benefit from a comprehensive offering, supported by a large network of caisses and specialized teams.
Value you can count on
Becoming a member means directly sharing in our success.
Member dividends
Each year, we give back part of our surplus earnings to our members and our community through member dividends.
Youth dividends
We offer dividends to our young members so they can save for their goals and build strong saving habits.
Exclusive privileges
Our members also get exclusive perks, like reduced rates for Festival d’été de Québec tickets through our members-only presale.
Every voice matters
Financial cooperatives are based on values of inclusion, equality and democracy. Every member has the power to influence decisions, regardless of their personal or financial situation.
Our principle of “one member, one vote” ensures that members can participate in caisse life by:
Electing members to the board of directors
Voting on how to allocate surplus earnings, including dividends
Voting on the amount allocated to the Community Development Fund
Supporting meaningful projects in the community
Adopting or making changes to caisse bylaws
Raising awareness about a local issue to other members
Approving or rejecting a merger with another caisse
Sharing your opinion on caisse services, such as opening hours or reception services

In your area
Each year through our community dividend, we reinvest some of our surplus earnings into local, regional and national projects.
