Lost, stolen or damaged card

Find out what to do if your Desjardins credit or debit card gets misplaced, stolen or damaged. We'll show you how to lock it, report it as lost or stolen, or request a replacement card.

Desjardins credit cards

If your card has been stolen or lost, you can use the Lock card feature on AccèsD to temporarily keep your card from being used and prevent fraudulent transactions until you find it or have it replaced.

Go on AccèsD to block your credit card from being used

A locked card blocks:

  • In-person transactions
  • Online transactions that require manual entry of card information
  • Online transactions that require manual entry of card information
  • Adding the card to Apple Pay® or Google Pay®

What keeps working

  • Previously scheduled recurring payments
  • Payments with Apple Pay, Google Pay and third-party payment processors (for example:PayPal) that use previously registered card information

How to lock your credit card online

  1. Log in to AccèsD
  2. Under Quick access, select Accounts.
  3. In the Cards, loans and credit section, tap the card you want to lock.
  4. In the Details screen, tap Information and then Manage card.
  5. Beside Lock card, slide the toggle button to the right.
  6. Accept the Terms of use.

How to unlock your card

As long as you haven't notified us that your card was misplaced or stolen, you can unlock your card on your own anytime by sliding the button to the left. The status will change to Card unlocked.

  1. Log in to AccèsD
  2. In AccèsD overview, select Cards, loans and credit. Then click the Options button next to the card you want to lock and select Manage card.
  3. Beside Lock card, slide the toggle button to the right.
  4. Accept the Terms of use.

How to unlock your card

Report a lost or stolen credit card

Once you've locked your card, contact us immediately to let us know if your card is lost or stolen. This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Desjardins Access Card (debit card)

Make sure you notify us without delay if your debit card is lost or stolen. We'll deactivate it and send you a new one by mail.

How to replace your damaged credit or debit card online

If your card is damaged, you can request a replacement card on AccèsD Internet or the mobile app.

  1. Log in to AccèsD
  2. Under Quick Access, select Accounts.
  3. Select Accounts or Cards, loans and credit, select the card in question.
  4. On the card Details screen, click Information and then Manage card.
  5. Select Report a lost, stolen or unreceived card or Replace a damaged card.
  6. Follow the instructions.

How long does it take to get a replacement card?

Once you've requested a replacement card, you'll get it by mail within 5 to 10 business days.

  1. Log in to AccèsD
  2. In the Accounts or Cards, loans and credit, click the Options button next to the card you want to replace and select Manage card.
  3. On the Manage card screen, select Report a lost, stolen or unreceived card or Replace a damaged card.
  4. Follow the instructions.

How long does it take to get a replacement card?

Once you've requested a replacement card, you'll get it by mail within 5 to 10 business days.

3 tips to avoid credit and debit card fraud

  1. Never leave your cards out in the open, whether you're at home, at work or in public.
  2. Always check that your card is returned to you after a purchase, carefully verifying that it is your card.
  3. Always check your monthly account statement. Immediately report any transaction that you believe to be fraudulent.
