What happens if my trip exceeds the number of days covered by my insurance policy?

If your trip exceeds the number of days specified in your insurance policy, you won’t be covered. But you can always add days to your annual policy for a specific trip. To do so, you may have to answer a medical questionnaire.

Can I extend my coverage during my trip?

If I have the Quattra Advantage, is my premium guaranteed to stay the same?

No. If you have the Quattra Advantage, your premium won’t increase for 4 years due to changes in your health. But it may increase due to inflation.

Does my travel insurance cover me if I cancel my trip because of issues with my travel documents?

No. If you cancel your trip because you don’t have the required travel documents, such as an up-to-date passport, you’re not covered.

If I’m hospitalized during my trip, do I have to pay upfront?

In most cases, you don’t have to pay upfront, and your insurer pays the bill. But sometimes hospitals require immediate payment. To avoid any unpleasant surprises, contact our travel assistance service before going to a hospital or clinic.

Can I add the trip cancellation or modification coverage to my travel insurance after booking my trip?

Does travel insurance cover me if I have surgery before my trip?

It depends. If you had surgery or if a doctor recommended that you have surgery in the 90 days (182 days if you’re over 55) before your departure, you’re not covered for emergency medical expenses.

Does my travel insurance cover me if I’m pregnant?

Our emergency healthcare covers medical expenses related to pregnancy, miscarriage, childbirth or their complications in the first 32 weeks of pregnancy.

Can I do all kinds of activities on my trip?

You can do any activity you choose but your travel insurance does not cover certain high-risk activities. See examples of activities covered and not covered by our travel insurance.

Does trip cancellation or modification cover airline strikes?

No. Our trip cancellation or modification coverage doesn't cover you if your trip is cancelled due to a strike. To get compensation or to find out the applicable terms and conditions, contact your airline directly or visit their website.
