Projet CLÉ: Helping young people in youth protection make their dreams a reality

For many young people in youth protection, pursuing post-secondary education can seem like an impossible dream. Without family or financial support, this valuable education is simply out of reach.

The Fondation du Centre Jeunesse de la Montérégie has created Projet CLÉ to give these young people the chance to dream. Thanks to the support of the Desjardins Foundation, it's been able to expand across Quebec.

With the collaboration of many Desjardins teams, local organizations, mentors, and Fondations de Centres jeunesse, a whole support network has been created for these young people which provides scholarships, mentoring, computers and even food aid.

« It's really going to change the future of young people who participate in the program and give them the means to make their dreams a reality, wherever they're from. These young people aren't lucky enough to have access to these tools. Doors are often closed to them, so we're very happy that the project will open doors for them instead. »

The program is now offered in Montérégie, Laval, Estrie and Chaudière-Appalaches. It will be expanded to other regions in the coming years.
