Desjardins has a long tradition of involvement with local youth. This is why Caisse Desjardins de Jonquière is so enthusiastic about the concerted effort being made by all Desjardins components toward youth outreach.

2020 Prêt pour ma bourse program, confinement version

Saguenay-area Desjardins caisses are proud to launch the sixth edition of their Prêt pour ma bourse program giving their young members an opportunity to win a total of $110,000 in scholarships. In 2020, given the implementation of social distancing measures, participating caisses had to revise the program’s existing formula, especially the coupons earned through various financial education and networking activities. So, to meet the students’ needs and to make it easier for them to participate in the program, full-time vocational, CEGEP and university students can enter online. Scholarships will be exceptionally drawn on October 15, 2020, during a webcast. Details will be released at a later date.

Scholarships available

  • $1,500 for university students
  • $750 for vocational and CEGEP students
  • $350 for participation

How to enter

Deadline: September 11, 2020, 11:59 p.m.

During the contest period, which takes place from May 4 to September 11, 2020, young members will have a chance to learn more about the Desjardins cooperative model, better understand the significant role they can play within it and discover numerous personal and professional opportunities.

Participating caisses

  • Caisse Desjardins d'Arvida-Kénogami
  • Caisse Desjardins de Chicoutimi
  • Caisse Desjardins de Jonquière

Behind our youth for the last 6 years!

At the close of the sixth edition, more than 5,500 students will have participated in the Prêt pour ma bourse program. They shared 738 scholarships, totalling over a half-million dollars.

Beyond figures and statistics, the main source of pride for the Saguenay caisses is knowing that they contributed to the success, education and well-being of local youth.

Good luck to all applicants!
