Founded in Montreal in 1952, Caisse populaire Desjardins Ukrainienne has a proud 70-year history.
On January 1, 2005, the city's Ukrainian community witnessed the creation of a unique financial institution when several credit unions including Mazepa (1955), National (1944) and Narodna (1952) merged to form the present-day caisse.
The rapidly changing nature of financial services and the development of new products and technologies led the caisse to join the network of Desjardins caisses in Quebec. Today, our members and clients have access to high-quality online banking services, investment funds, trust money, bonds, wealth management, loans and many other modern and high-performing services.
Our community can be proud that our institution is always focused on the needs of our members and clients. The caisse has made significant contributions to various charitable Ukrainian organizations including schools, churches, youth and senior groups, cultural events, the annual Montreal Ukrainian Festival and the Father Josaphat Jean Foundation, to name a few.
Since March 2022, the caisse has also been committed to providing financial and humanitarian aid in response to the war in Ukraine.
