Involvement in the community

Caisse Desjardins des Moissons illustrates its cooperative difference in many ways—notably through its donations, sponsorships and the Comité OR.

The caisse gives funds to various local organizations and encourages the success of many projects. It also supports many local and regional community initiatives.

In the spirit of cooperation, the caisse gives thousands of dollars to the community each year and contributes to the development and well-being of the community in a number of areas:

• Culture
• Economic development, employment and entrepreneurship
• Education
• Humanitarian work and community involvement
• Health and healthy lifestyles

In 2019, the caisse awarded a total of $74,925.94 in donations and sponsorships.

The Comité OR

The Comité OR was created to analyze Community Development Fund requests received by the caisse.

The Community Development Fund (CDF), donations and sponsorships are important levers to help sustain our community’s socioeconomic health. The CDF exists thanks to members like you who, at the annual general meeting, vote in favour of having part of their member dividends invested in the community.

In the spirit of cooperation, the caisse gives thousands of dollars to the community each year and contributes to the development and well-being of the community in a number of areas:

• Culture
• Economic development, employment and entrepreneurship
• Education
• Humanitarian work and community involvement
• Health and healthy lifestyles

In 2019, the caisse was able to give $168,995.64 through its Community Development Fund and $74,925.94 in donations and sponsorships, for a total of $243,921.58.
