The Community Development Fund is made up of a portion of the cooperative's surplus earnings that is then redistributed to the community. Following a proposal by the board of directors at the annual general meeting, members decide what portion of the surplus earnings will be paid into the fund. Through this gesture of solidarity, members support key projects that respond to their community's needs.
Every year, a report is submitted to the members at the general meeting to show the projects that were supported.
Through the fund, your caisse supports several local and regional initiatives that promote the economic development, health, the environment, education, arts and culture as well as sports and leisure.
