Terms of use for group insurance digital platforms
Date of last update: March 1, 2026
General information
These Terms of Use govern the access and use of Desjardins Financial Security Life Assurance Company (“Desjardins Insurance”) digital platforms. You agree to comply with them starting the first time you use our digital platforms.
Our digital platforms let you manage various aspects of your group insurance plan. They include the Omni mobile application, the Desjardins Insurance website for plan members and all partner websites accessible from these authenticated environments. The App Store or Google Play terms and conditions also apply when using the mobile application; these Terms of Use do not modify them.
Your responsibilities
1. Protect your login information
Password (website and mobile application)
When you log in to the digital platforms, your username and password constitute proof of your identity.
- Choose a password that’s hard to guess. For example, avoid using your birthdate, your address or simple combinations like 12345.
- Keep your password secret: don’t write it down and don’t share it with anyone.
Every login that uses your username and password is presumed to be done by you. You’re responsible for the consequences of their use.
Biometric authentication (mobile application only)
You can use fingerprint or facial recognition (biometric authentication) to log in to the mobile application. This optional method replaces your username and password on your device. We don’t have access to your biometric data; it stays on your device.
- You must make sure that only your own biometric data is saved on your device.
- Adding a new biometric on your device will automatically disable biometric authentication for the application. You’ll have to re-enable it to use it again.
- You must also read and accept the terms and conditions related to biometric authentication for your device, such as those of the manufacturer.
2. Provide accurate information and keep a record of your changes
You must provide accurate and up-to-date information regarding your account registration.
Whenever you update information on our digital platforms, you’re responsible for keeping proof of the change, such as a confirmation code or a screenshot. You can also contact Desjardins Insurance to make a change.
3. Notify us if there’s a problem
You must notify us immediately if:
- You notice unusual activity on our digital platforms
- You lost your password
- You think your password was stolen or compromised
Protection of personal information
To learn more about how we handle your personal information on our digital platforms, see our Privacy Policy.
