Guaranteed minimum return

Part of your return is fixed and guaranteed. This way, you know upfront the minimum return you’ll receive, and your investment is protected from market downturns. The other part varies based on market performance and can get you a higher return.

Potentially higher variable return

Your entire return is based on market performance, with no guaranteed minimum. You can get a higher return if the markets do well, but you might not get a return if they remain stable or go down.
