Danilo: For me it was a surprise to make a career in the bank industry. I wasn't expecting it. In fact, I doubted in the beginning that this was for me until I started working for Desjardins. The relationship with the clients here is different. The relationship with your colleagues is different. The approach is a lot more human. It definitely changed my mind.

Maria: What I think is the game changer for me, for working as an advisor and for Desjardins, is that you actually get to put your member as your priority. You get to focus on "How can I make their life better? How can I help them achieve their goals and their projects?" And I just think that that whole process is what's worth it for me.

Lynchie: It is a multicultural professional environment and there is [sic] no barriers to career development.

Cédric François: At Desjardins, they don't hire a person to fit a general role. They pick someone based on what they believe that person can be and then they give them all the tools to be able to excel and work to their strengths, which I love.

Maria: Me as an employee coming from another country, in my case Colombia, I definitely felt that I belonged since day one. And they just make you feel that you're now part of a bigger family.

Danilo: What I love the most about working at Desjardins is the human approach. The impact that we make in the community and to see the transformation in people's lives, for me it's awesome. Financial institutions are usually all about the numbers, but here the member comes first.

Antonio: That's the beauty of our work, is that not one client is the same. They all have different needs. However, properly listening to them, you make them realize their short-term, medium-term, and long-term goals.

Maria: In my experience as an advisor, there is always room to keep growing and to keep learning new things. You can always adapt how you talk to your members, what kind of products you are offering. And what I love the most is that Desjardins has a specialized advisor team that is always ready to help you and assist you and coach you to become an even better advisor.

Quentin Delorme: My favorite thing about working at Desjardins is really the teamwork. I started out here as an assistant to the advisors. And my advisors always took the time to teach me and show me and answer my questions. And it's really thanks to them that I was able to become an advisor myself.
