Our goal is to provide you with the combination of coverage, service and price that best meets your needs. We provide personalized, quality service that includes ongoing policy maintenance and claims support.

Agents' commission compensation

Our Desjardins Insurance Agents' commission compensation is a part of your insurance premium. Desjardins Insurance Agents receive commission for acquiring new clients and for servicing existing clients.

Our Desjardins Insurance Agents may also receive variable compensation, bonuses and non-monetary rewards such as travel incentives based on the quality, profitability and growth targets established by us. For your benefit, we have listed below the commission rates for automobile and property insurance as a percentage of your overall premium. If these rates should change, you will be notified.

Auto – Personal and Commercial: 8% to 10% Property – Personal and Commercial: 8% to 11%

Variable compensation and bonuses are not guaranteed and can vary between 0% and 3% of premium.

Although some elements of compensation can vary among the products available to you, it is the Desjardins Insurance Agents’ responsibility to provide you with options to help you determine the products that best meet your current needs.
