Creating a positive impact across Ontario

Desjardins Ontario Credit Union is proud to announce the 20 projects selected as part of the 2026 Community Development Fund Call for Applications. Through the Community Development Fund (CDF), $500,000 will be shared among organizations leading initiatives that respond to local needs and contribute to the well-being and vitality of communities across Ontario.

This year, 207 projects were submitted for consideration, reflecting the ideas, commitment and determination of organizations working every day to make a difference in their communities. As the CDF’s Call for Applications marks its fifth edition, this strong response is also a reminder of the important role community-led initiatives play in building stronger, more resilient communities.

At Desjardins, we believe that meaningful change starts with people who understand their communities and the opportunities within them. By supporting projects developed and led locally, we help organizations turn promising ideas into concrete action and create benefits that can be felt well beyond a single initiative.

The 20 projects selected this year reflect the diversity of Ontario’s communities and the many ways organizations are working to create positive and lasting impact.
