Building our expertise to better help young people succeed: Ariane Cyr joins the Desjardins Foundation’s advisory board

September 1, 2026

The Desjardins Foundation is pleased to announce that Ariane Cyr has been appointed to its advisory board on educational success. Ariane is the Executive Director of PRÉCA (Partenaires pour la réussite éducative en Chaudière-Appalache), a regional coalition of educational, community, municipal and government partners dedicated to helping young people stay in school and succeed. As the former chair of the RQRE (Réseau québécois pour la réussite éducative), she contributed to the organization’s governance practices and strategies. She’s also a member of the INEE (Institut national d’excellence en éducation) board of directors, where she’s actively involved in improving knowledge and practices in Quebec education.

Ariane will bring her expertise in regional engagement, cross-sector coordination and forging of strategic partnerships to the advisory board as it works to find the most meaningful ways to meet young people’s current and future needs.

Action driven by expertise

This appointment is in line with the Desjardins Foundation’s commitment to working with known experts to guide its decisions and create the most impactful youth initiatives. Founded in 2024, the advisory board on educational success is made of specialists from the education, research and community sectors. The board’s role is to help the Foundation identify young people’s emerging needs, high-potential practices and issues that will shape the future of educational success.

“The board was created following an in-depth analysis on how the Foundation could best serve young people and the ecosystem,” says Foundation Executive Director Anick Charbonneau. Ariane’s big-picture view and expertise will help us have a greater impact and focus on initiatives that support young people who need it the most.”
