Maison Alphonse-Desjardins
The Maison Alphonse-Desjardins is a museum devoted to promoting the origins of Desjardins Group and the history of its founder and co-founder, Alphonse Desjardins and Dorimène Desjardins.
Visit the permanent exhibit, The Legacy of a Couple, and discover artifacts, photos and recordings depicting the defining events in the couple’s history and that of the caisses populaires.

Desjardins building
The Desjardins building houses Desjardins Group’s historical archives and museum collections.
Its archives and museum storage facilities contain thousands of written documents, 60,000 photographs, 45,000 video recordings and 7,000 artifacts. Some of the archive areas are open to the public by appointment only. Certain artifacts may be borrowed for the collection.
Visitors can explore the 2 exhibit rooms that showcase the rich historical heritage of Desjardins Group and Quebec society.

Educational activities
We offer free educational activities to preschool, elementary and high school students. These activities take place at Maison Alphonse-Desjardins, the Desjardins buildings and online.
During the visit and tours, students will learn about the history of Quebec at the turn of the 20th century, cooperative values and about the life and work of Alphone and Dorimène Desjardins.
