Ambition at the heart of our history
Alphonse Desjardins, along with his wife, Dorimène Desjardins, helped found more than 160 caisses in Quebec, Ontario and the United States. Today, we empower 7.8 million members and clients
Vision and performance
Desjardins was the first financial institution in Quebec to launch socially responsible investment funds when the Desjardins Environment Fund was created in 1990. Our commitment to fighting climate change remains strong, with a goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2040.
Innovating for you
In 1996, Desjardins Group became the first Quebec-based financial institution to offer online banking when it launched AccèsD. Since then, we’ve continued to introduce innovative services, like financial insights presented by our virtual assistant Alvie, who helps our members better manage their finances.
