Mélanie: My experience here at Desjardins is one I've never had before. We're a tight-knit group and we support each other. We're always there when each other [sic] need anything .

Yvan: There's no such thing as a typical profile which is required or even preferred to work at Desjardins. We all come from different backgrounds, different origins. We have different beliefs, and we collaborate, we learn from each other. We work together, and we aim for the same thing which is the well-being of everyone.

Anas: Being myself a member of a visible minority, I always felt respected, listened to here. I've been working with colleagues from different cultures, from all across the world. Basically, it's really part of Desjardins's behaviour to give a chance to everybody.

Jade: One of the things that's really cool about my employer is that there's an amount that's dedicated to global health.

Jade: They have a budget which is renewed each year, and I personally used mine to buy a paddle board.

Mélanie: What I like about working at Desjardins is that we have a really great team, and we work well together. Also, it gives me the opportunity to walk every morning with my little puppies. So it's time to enjoy the nice weather.

Anas: I really like working for Desjardins. It really brings me stability, security, and the social benefits are really great, and also not to forget that I really feel that I make a difference in my position.

Our manager is always there for us, listening to what we need. They are always encouraging us to go and follow the career path that we want.

Johanna: Something that was difficult for me when I was growing up was I was very shy. I grew up with a twin brother. I always had that person around me—because we did everything together—to kind of hide behind and let him speak for me. So I think that overcoming my shyness is something that's really been an asset to me in this position.

My name is Johanna Rienzo and I'm an accident benefits advisor at Desjardins.

[on the phone]: Maybe what we'll do is we'll get someone in contact with you to visit you at your work.

My typical day would be talking with clients, asking them what the details of their claim are, reviewing their policy coverage with them. I think to be a good accident benefits advisor, you have to have very good communication skills and you have to be very organized.
