Our young people are among our top priorities at Caisse des Ressources naturelles, where “Building tomorrow's workforce” officially became our #1 cause in 2018. Our goal is to help increase graduation rates during a labour shortage that will strongly impact the natural resources sector in the coming years.
The caisse unveiled a bold 2020–2024 community involvement plan that focuses on promoting employability in the natural resources sector.
Caisse Desjardins des Ressources naturelles wants to encourage students to pursue their post-secondary studies in a program related to the natural resources industry (mining, metals, energy, forest products) and promote employability in the sector.
That's why, thanks to its Community Development Fund, the caisse can put in place various scholarship programs to give students a financial boost and help them achieve their career goals.
The scholarship program runs from February 1, 2021, to December 31, 2021. It's open to full- and part-time vocational, CEGEP/college and university students enrolled for any session in 2021 in a field connected to one of the following natural resources sectors: mining, metals, energy and forest products.

The Young Intern Director Program gives young people 18 to 30 the chance to sit on a caisse board of directors, to represent members of their community and contribute to caisse performance. Young intern directors actively participate in the board's work, but with no voting rights. They are named for a term determined by the board.
