Youth

We have young people at heart

Caisse Desjardins de l'Est de Trois-Rivières is proud to present its 3 youth advisors: Yacine Camara, Zeh Marie Sarah Samirah Goman and Cindy Marie Vella.

With the help of the caisse's personal finance advisors, our youth advisors inform young people about Desjardins products and services developed especially for them. They also promote the Personal Finance: I'm in Charge workshops offered by our partners at Carrefour jeunesse-emploi. The workshops cover important topics and help young people ages 16 to 25 to better understand their finances. There are 17 modules whose content is adapted to meet young people's everyday needs and teach them how to draw up a budget, manage their credit, avoid debt, save for a special project and much more.

Thanks to their active listening skills, Cindy, Yacine and Zeh Marie Sarah can easily pinpoint the needs of young people and meet their expectations. Feel free to make an appointment with one of them to learn more.

Services for the youth clientele

The caisse has a long tradition of involvement with local youth. This is why it is so enthusiastic about the massive concerted effort being made by all Desjardins components toward youth outreach.

School caisse

To help children start developing sound savings habits at a young age, the caisse actively supports the educational school caisse service offered at several Trois-Rivières elementary schools. Learn more about the school caisse.

Youth dividends

The caisse is proud to support the savings efforts of its young members. Every year, youth dividends are paid out to hundreds of young people through the Community Development Fund.

Educational lectures at your high school

Desjardins Foundation scholarships

The caisse contributes to Desjardins Foundation, which gives out over a half million dollars in scholarships each year. Keep an eye out for the application period and apply for a scholarship. The Excellence jeunesse scholarship program for 15- to 30-year olds

The Excellence jeunesse Desjardins Mauricie program gives you the opportunity to serve as a model for the region. This program is for people aged 15 to 30 who are doing something exceptional, either alone or as a team, in the following categories: arts and culture, academic involvement, young entrepreneurs, sustainable development, cooperation and community involvement.
