Why do I have to provide my card number?

Desjardins doesn't usually ask for an AccèsD username in communications with its members. In order to ensure your eligibility to contests and to let you enjoy exclusive member advantages, Desjardins needs to make sure you are a member, and the only way to do so is with your AccèsD username. This information isn't saved anywhere and is only used to confirm you're a Desjardins member.

How can I tell if what I'm doing is secure?

Make sure you're on a secure Desjardins site:

  • The URL of the page where you enter your debit card number must begin with https://www.desjardins.com/. The "s" at the end of "http" means that the site is secure.
  • There should be a closed padlock in your browser's status bar.
