Professional experience

Denis is a trained actuary (FCIA) and certified corporate director (ASC) with an MBA in health insurance and a master's degree in social policy (pensions) from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He's a professor at Université Laval's School of Actuarial Science. He spent nearly 20 years working at the United Nations, first as a senior actuary and advisor on an initiative advising governments in various global regions, then as chair of an international actuarial committee. His experience also includes serving as chief actuary of an insurance company for 6 years, before becoming its Vice-President of Customer Service, IT and Finance and a member of its management committee from 2007 to 2012. Denis was previously a director at a reinsurance company and has chaired various retirement committees.
