India is in line to become the world’s fastest-growing economy in the coming years. It is also expected to dethrone China as the most populous country within six years. The country’s role in the global and Canadian economy should not be underestimated. This issue of Economic Viewpoint presents an overview of the Indian economy’s outlook, structure and challenges.
