Desjardins has a long tradition of involvement with local youth. This is why Caisse Desjardins de Mirabel is so enthusiastic about the concerted effort being made by all Desjardins components toward youth outreach.

Financial education program

Are you between 16 and 25? Want to take charge of your finances and make sound decisions as a consumer, student or worker?

Personal Finance: I'm in Charge™is just what you're looking for.

You'll learn more about things that matter to you, such as:

• Budgeting: Numbers that speak for themselves
• Finding an apartment: Your key considerations
• The labour market: Your rights and responsibilities
• Credit: It's worth a look
• Buying and saving: Making room for both

Thanks to the collaboration of your caisse, free 2-hour group workshops are offered by community partners or educational institutions of the region.

We take a dynamic approach that gets you involved. You'll interact through a variety of hands-on activities and exercises.

Scholarship program

Every year, we offer scholarships to our members who are high school, vocational school, CEGEP or university students.

The application period runs from March 1 to 31 every year on the Desjardins scholarship platform.

Scholarships

A total of $10,000 will be awarded in scholarships.

The scholarship amount is based on the level of education in fall 2024:

• 6 scholarships of $250 for graduating secondary 5 students who will pursue post-secondary studies in fall 2024
• 4 scholarships of $1,000 for vocational school and CEGEP students
• 3 scholarships of $1,500 for university students at any level
