Increased support for the Literacy Foundation
The Desjardins Foundation is pleased to announce that it's doubling its funding for the Literacy Foundation to help individuals who are going back to school to improve their reading and writing skills. Our funding will help 20 students through the Go Getter's Bursaries.
These bursaries recognize the perseverance and determination of individuals who have tried to better their situation by improving their literacy skills. Since the program was launched, 65 individuals have been rewarded for their efforts.
Elizabeth, a 2022 recipient, told us how much of an impact the bursaries can have. She dropped out of high school, but today she's more determined than ever to succeed and be a positive role model for her daughter.

By helping children and adults improve their literacy skills, the Desjardins and Literacy foundations promote their well-being and help them participate fully in society.
