Denis Dubois - Biography

Denis Dubois is Executive Vice-President, Wealth Management and Life and Health Insurance. In 2003, he began his career with Desjardins in damage insurance. He has held various senior management positions before becoming Executive Vice-President of this business sector in 2016, when he also became a member of Desjardins Group Management Committee. His responsibilities evolved 3 years later when he was assigned his current duties.
In this capacity, he's responsible for the activities of Desjardins Investment Company, Desjardins International Asset Management and Desjardins Financial Security. For the latter, he also serves as president and chief operating officer.
As Executive Vice-President, Denis oversees the work of more than 5,000 employees across the country. They contribute to the financial health and well-being of the organization's members and clients by developing products and solutions that meet their specialized savings and life and health insurance needs. They also support the distribution of these products in the caisse network and in certain complementary networks.
Denis also contributes to the industry's evolution by serving on several boards of directors, including the Centre de développement en assurances et services financiers (CDASF), the International Cooperative and Mutual Insurance Federation (ICMIF) and Aviso Wealth.
As supporting communities is very important to him, he's involved in various philanthropic activities, including fundraising campaigns for the Red Cross and United Way.
A graduate of Université Laval in actuarial studies, he successfully completed the exams for Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society.
