Desjardins has a long tradition of involvement with local youth. This is why Caisse Desjardins de l'Ouest de Laval is so enthusiastic about the concerted effort being made by all Desjardins components toward youth outreach.

Scholarship program

This year, the 8 Desjardins caisses of Laval joined forces to contribute to the academic success of our youth. They launched the Desjardins, mes études et moi program to encourage young people in their studies and to support them in their academic and professional development.

A total of 140 scholarships, totalling $155,000, were awarded to full-time CEGEP, vocational and university students.

• Vocational and CEGEP students: 55 scholarships of $500

On October 18, 2018, the scholarship recipients were invited to an awards ceremony at Embassy Plaza. It was with great pleasure that host Pier-Luc Funk gave those scholarships to the winners. Comedian Philippe-Audrey Larue-St-Jacques was also there to entertain guests during the evening.
