Caisse Desjardins de l'Énergie et des Ressources naturelles is pleased to announce its new contribution program.

For every member who opens a new account or takes out a new mortgage, we'll donate $25 in their name to support a major community project. Members can choose which area they'd like to support:

  • Education and training
  • The environment and sustainable development
  • Mutual aid and social solidarity

The funding will come out of the caisse's Community Development Fund (CDF). This means that members retain ownership of their qualifying1 share and won't be asked to make any financial contributions to the program.

The program doesn't apply to accounts opened as part of an estate or a new folio opened by an existing member.

How it works

If the member opens their account at the caisse, they'll receive a leaflet outlining the program and be asked which area they'd like to support. If the member opens their account via AccèsD or 360d (online or by phone), a caisse employee will call or email them about the program and ask them to choose which area they'd like support.

1 When a new member opens an account at a caisse, we ask them to pay $5. This is their qualifying share and it represents their membership in the cooperative.
