Caisse du Haut-Richelieu helps to plant a micro-forest

The caisse recently helped to plant a micro-forest in an outdoor recreational area in Venise-en-Québec, as part of the regional One mortgage, one tree initiative. Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu's 2595 Cadet Corps volunteered to plant the 600 trees, which will increase the biodiversity of the large empty plot where they were planted.

The planting took place on Saturday, May 27, 2023, with the help of 20 volunteers from Arbres.eco, a partner of the program since its inception. The mayor of Venise-en-Québec was also there.

The initiative allowed the caisse to pursue its mission of protecting the environment while contributing to the well-being of the community.
