Creation of a daycare fund in Haut-Richelieu

The caisse is setting up a fund to create 180 new daycare spots in the region.

"There's a high demand for daycare spots. Very often, it's women who pay the price by having to put off going back to work. Thanks to the support of our directors, we're proud to create new daycare spots that will not only meet the needs of families but also benefit local businesses.
The $50,000 in funding from our Community Development Fund is made possible by the trust of our members. Choosing Desjardins means supporting initiatives like this one that promote gender equality, access to equal job opportunities and regional economic development."
