Member dividends and how they're calculated

Member dividends are a reflection of our cooperative nature and one of the advantages of being a caisse member. They're amounts paid out to members under certain conditions. There are 2 kinds to get you even more: product dividends and volume dividends.

How member dividends work

Product dividends

Your product dividend is an amount of up to $50 if you had at least 1 eligible product throughout the last year in each of the following 4 product lines:

  1. Accounts
  2. Cards, loans and credit
  3. Savings and investments
  4. Insurance

If you're age 30 or under, all you need is 1 eligible product in 3 of the 4 product lines to qualify for the product dividend.

Volume dividends

Your volume dividend is a personalized amount based on your business volume (rate per $1,000 in volume) in each of the following 4 product lines, based on the rates decided by vote at the annual general meeting:

  • Accounts: $0.58 / $1,000 in volume
  • Loans and credit: $0.58 / $1,000 in volume
  • Savings and investments: $0.58 / $1,000 in volume
  • Insurance: $23 / $1,000 in premiums
