Involvement in the community

Thanks to members like you, your caisse can enrich the lives of people and communities. Last year, we distributed $12,422.90 in the form of donations and sponsorships.

Desjardins also used its $100 million development fund to support and build awareness of entrepreneurship, social responsibility, sustainability, community action and other initiatives aligned with its socio-economic mission.

Eligibility

The following criteria must be met, and information submitted so the Board of Directors can make an informed decision:

• The sponsorship application must be related to education, healthy lifestyles or cultural events (as decided by our members at the last AGM).
• A budget must be submitted.
• The approximate number of participants should be specified.
• The level of visibility offered to the caisse should be mentioned.
• The application should mention if you’d like to have a presentation (speaker, booth, lecture, etc.).
• Events taking place in Mistissini or Waswanipi will be preferred (but it’s not a requirement).

Sponsorship requests must be submitted at least a month before the event. Since the Board of Directors may request additional information, we recommend you send in your application 2 to 3 months before the event.
