Mobile Take-Back Program

Mobile Take-Back Program

Desjardins is partnering with Bell to recover used mobile phones. Both enterprises share two objectives: optimize electronic waste recovery in Quebec and fight climate changes.

How the program works

If you have a mobile phone you no longer want, don't throw it out. Instead, bring it to one of the 480 recycling bins (PDF, 32 KB) available at participating caisses, Desjardins Business Centres and Desjardins subsidiaries.

Collected phones will be dismantled and recycled securely and confidentially. New phones will be built using these recycled products and then sold on secondary markets (not-for-profit organizations and developing countries).

Net profits generated by the reuse or recovery of each phone collected will go towards helping WWF-Canada, an environmental protection agency, with nature conservation and climate change work.
