La caisse scolaire Desjardins

A timeless educational project.

What is school caisse?

It's an educational project sponsored by Caisse Desjardins de la Vallée des Pays-d'en-Haut. Following an agreement between the school and the caisse, this educational savings program is offered to parents whose young children attend elementary school. Parents are thus offered the opportunity to enroll their child in the caisse to help them develop their skills in saving and managing their money.

Enrolling in the school caisse means choosing a savings education tool that encourages parents to take part in their child's learning process.

School caisse benefits

  • Introduces young people to saving in an educational environment and with parent participation.
  • Instils basic notions about savings, saving and cooperation.
  • Promotes a spirit of individual and collective action.
  • Encourages children to be self-reliant and develop a sense of responsibility.
  • Complements an in-school program that teaches responsible consumer behaviour.
