Youth

Desjardins has a long tradition of involvement with local youth. This is why Caisse Desjardins de La Tuque is so enthusiastic about the concerted effort being made by all Desjardins components toward youth outreach.

2016 scholarship winners

The scholarship draw was held on August 5, 2016 at the La Tuque golf and curling club. Your caisse awarded young community members with 2 scholarships of $1,000 each (university level) and 6 scholarships of $500 (college and vocational level), for a total of $5,000.

Scholarship awards evening

A draw for scholarships—offered in collaboration with Caisse d’Économie des employés de la CIP—was held on August 11, 2017. A total of $10,000 was awarded.

The evening began with a conference by Constant Awashish, Grand Chief of the Atikamekw Nation, who encouraged kids to stay in school.
