As a caisse member, you can apply to be elected as a director, express your point of view by participating in the annual general meeting and elect the people who will represent you on the board of directors.
On January 1, 2019, Caisse Desjardins du Plateau maskoutain and Caisse de Val-Maska merged with Caisse Desjardins de la Région de Saint-Hyacinthe. The merger resulted in a new caisse that carries the same name.
A caisse must be active for a year before holding a general meeting and reporting its financial results. Therefore, there won’t be an annual general meeting this year, but one will be held in April 2020.
The Caisse Desjardins de la Région de Saint-Hyacinthe Annual General Meeting is an opportunity for you to participate in a variety of consultations such as how surplus earnings should be allocated. It also gives you the opportunity to exercise your right to vote to adopt or amend caisse by-laws and elect the officers who sit on the Board of Directors and Board of Supervision.
The first Caisse Desjardins de la Région de Saint-Hyacinthe Annual General Meeting was held on April 3, 2018, at Centre de congrès de Saint-Hyacinthe. We were pleased to share the caisse's excellent 2017 results with the 400 members in attendance. A video clip of the evening is available on the caisse Facebook page - External link.
