Member dividends: an advantage exclusive to Desjardins

Member dividends are paid, under certain conditions, by a caisse to members at the end of a financial year.

Where do they come from?

Member dividends come from the caisse’s surplus earnings, some of which can be returned to member-owners.

As a financial services cooperative, the caisse is guided by cooperative principals, one of which is sharing results with members.

The amount of member dividends paid to a member is based on the interest paid or collected and on the savings or credit volume a member holds at the caisse over the year.

Next member dividends paid out between May 27 and June 7, 2019.
