As a caisse member, you can apply to be elected as a director, express your point of view by participating in the annual general meeting and elect the people who will represent you on the board of directors.
On January 1, 2019, Caisse Desjardins de Boucherville, Caisse Desjardins du Grand-Coteau, Caisse Desjardins de Contrecoeur-Verchères and Caisse Desjardins de Varennes merged. The merger resulted in a new caisse.
A caisse must be active for a year before holding a general meeting and reporting its financial results. Therefore, there won’t be an annual general meeting this year, but one will be held in April 2020.
