On November 28, 2014, Caisse Desjardins de Drummondville started a shuttle service for elderly members and those with reduced mobility in the Saint-Jean-Baptiste and Sainte-Thérèse area.
The service aims to facilitate access to standard transaction services for those most affected by the centre closures. An indefinite evaluation period is planned for the service.
The shuttle service is primarily for members who have no means of transportation. Since the transport schedule is fixed, signing up isn't necessary. The only criteria that will be considered for the service is that members using the service must make transactions at the counter or ATM.
The shuttle service is only meant for making transactions at the Saint-Frédéric Service Centre and is not a chauffeur service for stopping off at nearby businesses.
The shuttle service has been in full effect since December 12, 2014.
The shuttle service runs every second Friday and stops at 4 pick-up and drop-off locations at specific times.
|8:30 a.m.||In front of 775 rue Théroux, Drummondville (Saint-Charles-de-Drummond).|
|8:45 a.m.||Beside the building at 180 rue St-Damase, corner of 11e Avenue.|
|8:55 a.m.||Main doors of the Ermitage residence at 540 rue Bérol.|
|9:00 a.m.||Terrasses Imdrum building at 225 rue Saint-Jean.|
Return times are indeterminate because they depend on the number of members present and the transactions to be carried out. The drop-off points are the same as the departure points.
Shuttles are available every second Friday, except on holidays. See the shuttle schedule (in French only, PDF, 765 KB) - This link will open in a new window..
Members are dropped off at the Saint-Frédéric Service Centre, located at 100, rue Girouard, before regular business hours. The Caisse ensures that members receive special attention and that their needs are met.
An assistant will be present for the first shuttle days to answer questions and guide members.
Members are not required to sign up or inform anyone to be able to use the shuttle service. The school bus will pick up anyone present at the departure points at the scheduled time.
The Caisse offers this service free of charge. Any member, regardless of their financial situation, can use the shuttle service. However, the Caisse will give priority to those without means of transportation.
The shuttle makes 1 stop at the Saint-Frédéric Service Centre. An advisory service is available for members with a deposit box there. Members with deposit boxes at other service centres must arrange other means of transportation to get to the location. However, members can request that their deposit box be transferred to the Saint-Frédéric Service Centre, and the Caisse will meet their request if there are boxes available.
It's not possible to meet an advisor on site due to time and logistics. However, if you have documents to sign, the Caisse can arrange for you to sign them during your weekly visit to the Saint-Frédéric Service Centre.
The Caisse's shuttle service is only for members with financial transaction needs. Members will not be picked up and dropped off at other locations other than the ones indicated on the schedule.
