Caisse Desjardins d'Ahuntsic and Club Optimiste Montréal-Ahuntsic have been long-time partners. This collaboration led to the creation of the Caisse Desjardins d'Ahuntsic bursary. Valued at $250, this bursary is awarded to local kids to highlight their involvement and excellence in sports.
We're pleased to announce that the winner of the 2015 bursary is Émile Livernoche, a 13-year-old archer.
A hard-working student who loves reading and video games, Émile has been practicing archery for the past 5 years. He was bitten by the archery bug at an initiation class at daycamp. He's now a member of the Club de tir à l'arc de Montréal and trains at Complexe sportif Claude Robillard.
Émile has been successful so far. He won the gold medal in the benjamin category at the Jeux de Montréal 2015 and has consistently placed in the top 4 at Coupe du Québec competitions.
At his level, Émile is training under the tutelage of a private trainer. He'll be competing across the province and is actively preparing for the next big step: the Jeux du Québec.
Congratulations to Émile Livernoche for his perseverance and dedication to his sport. We wish him all the best for his upcoming competitions!
