Once again this year, Let's CoHOHOperate is back in force with a new inter-cooperation project based on the Desjardins values of education and individual and community well-being.
For the third annual event, Montreal area Desjardins caisses are coming together to promote volunteering and the importance of individual commitment by joining forces with partner who share the same concern for individual and community well-being.
Participating Desjardins, Fédération des centres d'action bénévole du Québec (FCABQ ) and all 7 volunteering centres on the island of Montreal invite you to write, draw or design greeting cards to be distributed during the holidays to the many volunteers working in various sectors. A simple and heartfelt gesture to thank all the volunteers who donate their time for the well-being of others.
As in previous years, elementary schools will also be participating. This will help children understand what volunteering is all about, how important big-hearted people are, and, we hope, inspire them to become volunteers themselves. Let's CoHOHOperate will a learning opportunity as well as a chance to thank volunteers.
The cards will be collected starting on October 15, 2013, during Co-op Week, whose theme is "A Better World" this year, through November 29, 2013.
Visit the CoHOHOpérons Facebook page to follow the project's progress and be sure to thank yourself, too, for your generosity.
