Caisse Desjardins de Jonquière has a long tradition of involvement with local youth. This is why it is so enthusiastic about the massive concerted effort being made by all Desjardins components toward youth outreach.
Saguenay-area Desjardins caisses are giving their young members an opportunity to win a total of $110,000 in scholarships.
The 5 Saguenay-area Desjardins caisses are launching the fourth edition of the Prêt pour ma bourse program created for young members who will be pursuing full-time vocational, CEGEP or university studies in the fall of 2018. In all, 155 scholarships totalling $110,000 will be awarded to students to help them pursue studies, carry out projects and fulfill their dreams.
Winners will be determined by draw at a VIP awards ceremony featuring popular comedian Julien Lacroix, on October 12, 2018.
Coupons can be earned through various activities: a scavenger hunt of exclusive member advantages, educational lectures, networking activities and Facebook events.
In addition, the more students take part in these cooperative activities, the more chances they get to win a scholarship. Each student can earn a maximum of 15 entry ballots.
Contest period: ends September 14, 2018
“In addition to supporting academic retention, the program helps us provide financial education to our young members and talk to them to tailor our ways of doing things to their needs”, say in unison all officers and general managers of Saguenay-area Desjardins caisses.
During the contest period, which takes place from April 3 to September 14, 2018, young members will have a chance to learn more about the Desjardins cooperative model, better understand the significant role they can play within it and discover numerous personal and professional opportunities.
Good luck to all applicants!
