Caisse de la Petite-Nation has a long tradition of involvement with local youth. This is why it is so enthusiastic about the massive concerted effort being made by all Desjardins components toward youth outreach.

À ma caisse, c'est payant étudier! contest

Caisse Desjardins de la Petite-Nation is proud to offer a scholarship program for the 10th consecutive year. If you're a caisse member and a high school, vocational school, CEGEP or university student, enter now! You could be one of 26 recipients of a total of $10,500.

26 scholarships

26 scholarships totalling $10,500 will be allocated as follows:

  • High school students: 6 scholarships of $250 each
  • Vocational students: 2 scholarships of $500 each
  • CEGEP students: 4 scholarships of $750 each
  • University students: 4 scholarships of $1,000 each
  • Participation scholarships: 10 scholarships of $100 to be awarded among students attending the Annual General Meeting

Personal Finance: I'm in Charge is just what you're looking for. You'll learn more about things that matter to you, such as:

  • consumer choices
  • cellphones
  • education and work
  • budgets
  • financial services

Thanks to the collaboration of your caisse, free 2-hour group workshops are offered by community partners or educational institutions of the region.

We take a dynamic approach that gets you involved. You'll interact through a variety of hands-on activities and exercises.

Gala Ados Petite-Nation

The 1st Gala Ados Petite-Nation, sponsored by the Caisse de la Petite-Nation and hosted by actor Yan England, was held on May 2, 2010. This evening was an opportunity for us to find out what young people like.

The Sainte-Famille, Aux Trois-Chemins, J-M Robert and Louis-Joseph-Papineau schools took part in the Gala. Young people had to vote in several categories, including the following: Best Place, Events and Best Petite-Nation Restaurant. They also voted for the best teachers of the 4 educational institutions.

Caisse Youth Advisor, Julie Leblanc, with the winner of Best Photography winner, Flavie Trottier of École Louis-Joseph Papineau.

Congratulations to all the students and organizors! This event was a success. See you next year!

Centre de formation professionnelle Relais de la Lièvre-Seigneurie prom

On April 28, 2012, the Centre de formation professionnelle Relais de la Lièvre-Seigneurie prom was held. The Caisse is pleased to award the best all-round man award to Étienne Mayer. Congratulations Mr. Mayer!

École Louis-Joseph-Papineau's Gala Excellence

École secondaire Louis-Joseph-Papineau held its Gala Excellence on June 8, 2017. Committed to projects that promote personal commitment, education and cooperation, the Caisse proudly supported the Étudiant coopératif project for a ninth consecutive year. Personal Finance Advisor Julie Leblanc awarded a $500 scholarship to Andréanne Desforges, a student at École Louis-Joseph-Papineau.

A Desjardins Foundation scholarship recipient in our region

The Caisse is pleased to inform you that Jessica Bond received a $1,500 Desjardins Foundation scholarship.

Ms. Bond is one of the 409 scholarship recipients and her application was selected among 6,000 submitted to the Desjardins Foundation selection committees in 2015. It's an honour we can all be proud of!

This once again illustrates Caisse de la Petite-Nation's commitment to the community and to supporting education. Desjardins Foundation scholarships allow hundreds of young people to pursue their passions and dreams.

The Caisse Board of Directors, general manager and staff would like to congratulate the young winner on her achievement and wish her great success in the future!

New school session

The Caisse de la Petite-Nation, represented by Julie Leblanc, Youth Advisor, was on hand at the start of the new session on September 17, 2014, at Collège de l'Outaouais's Campus Gabrielle-Roy. She was there to offer complementary financing tools tailored to today's needs.


On January 27, 2011, Secondary V students at École secondaire Louis-Joseph Papineau attended a lecture given by Julie Leblanc, Youth Advisor at the Caisse de la Petite-Nation and France Cloutier, Desjardins Group Youth Clientele Representative. The goal of the event was to develop students' awareness of savings, automated savings and of the importance of having a budget. Two door prizes were awarded. Josyanne Poirier took home an MP3 player and Sophie Lefebvre a Desjardins backpack.
