About the caisse

A financial cooperative with deep roots in the community, Caisse Desjardins de la Nouvelle-Acadie has 6,091 members. Each caisse member is also a co-owner of the caisse. Find out more about caisse operations.

Today's Caisse Desjardins de la Nouvelle-Acadie is the result of the merger of the Caisse populaire Desjardins de Saint-Jacques and the Caisse populaire Desjardins de Sainte-Marie-Salomé, in 2001.

Through the Annual General Meeting, your caisse calls on you. It gives you the opportunity to participate in a variety of consultations such as how surplus earnings should be allocated. It also gives you the opportunity to exercise your right to vote to adopt or amend caisse by-laws and elect the directors who sit on the Board of Directors.

The last Annual General Meeting of the Caisse Desjardins de la Nouvelle-Acadie was held on April 23, 2018, and was attended by 105 people. The caisse's balance sheet and financial results were presented to members. The Board of Directors reported to the annual meeting.

Elections were also held at this meeting.

For details, see caisse financial results.

The Caisse is pleased to announce that member dividends of $200,000 were paid out on May 24, 2018.
