The Community Development Fund serves to redistribute a portion of the cooperative's surplus earnings to the community. Following a proposal by the board of directors, during the annual general meeting, members decide what portion of the surplus earnings will be paid into the community fund. Through their caisse, members can support causes that are important to them.

Members who sit on the board of directors manage the community fund. Every year, they report on the fund at the annual general meeting.

Community Development Fund

Caisse Desjardins de Hull-Aylmer's Community Development Fund helps fund beneficial initiatives submitted by individuals, associations, groups, institutions or organizations that operate in the Hull and Aylmer territories.

The caisse has made a significant commitment to invest in the community and local sustainable development through the Community Development Fund. Through the fund, the caisse invested $469,000 to support various key community initiatives in 2018.

Since 2014, we've contributed over $1.5 million to help fund and implement initiatives in the Hull and Aylmer territories. That's the Desjardins difference!
