The caisse understands the challenges and issues facing its members. With their support, it can provide its fellow citizens with valuable help regarding initiatives aimed at common betterment and the advancement of society.
Your caisse supports local and regional initiatives in various areas.
Every year, the Caisse gives out nearly $70,000 is donations and sponsorships.
Requests are processed all year long. Simply fill out the form to make a request.
Requests are processed within 2 weeks to 2 months depending on the approvals required.
The caisse has a help fund that serves to redistribute a portion of the cooperative's surplus earnings to the community. Following a proposal by the Board of Directors, members decide, during the Annual General Meeting, what portion of the surplus earnings will be paid into the help fund. With the help of their caisse, members can support causes that are important to them. The members who sit on the Board of Directors manage the help fund. Every year, they report on the fund during the Annual General Meeting.
At the Annual General Meeting held in April 2018, members of Caisse Desjardins de Sillery—Saint-Louis-de-France agreed to contribute $150,000 to the Community Development Fund.
In 2017, the caisse paid out $87,445 from the Community Development Fund in support of various community projects.

If you are an organization of individuals, a non-profit organization or a cooperative with a growth-generating project that could benefit the community, send us your request for financial support during our call for applications between October 1 and November 2, 2018.
Your projects + our help = community development!
Applications will be assessed by the Community Development Fund Committee, made up of Caisse Desjardins de Sillery— Saint-Louis-de-France employees and officers, and then be submitted to the caisse Board of Directors. Decisions will be announced by the end of 2018.
