Youth

Youth are our top priority

Education and youth are priorities for Caisse Desjardins de Wendake.

Our role is to inform young people about Desjardins products and services developed especially for them. To do so, we hold educational lectures at various schools, including Wahta’ elementary school and Centre de développement de la formation et de la main-d’œuvre (CDFM) huron wendat. The lectures help young people determine which products and services are best suited to their needs. Students also learn more about their current financial situation, budgeting, sound credit management, indebtedness and how to avoid it, saving for a special project and much more.

Young people are invited to make an appointment with a caisse advisor to develop a financial plan. Our advisors can pinpoint their needs and meet their expectations.

Services for youth clientele

Caisse Desjardins de Wendake has a long tradition of involvement with local youth. In addition to providing personalized training for students of the Centre de développement de la formation et de la main-d'œuvre (CDFM) huron-wendat, the caisse is also enthusiastic about the massive converted effort being made by all Desjardins components toward youth outreach.

School Caisse

Created in 1965, the School Caisse program has always kept up with the times. To help children start developing sound savings habits at a young age, Caisse Desjardins de Wendake actively supports the educational school caisse service offered at Wahta’ elementary school.

Through this program, elementary school children learn the value of money, the cost of goods, and the importance of setting savings goals and meeting financial commitments. In 2018, close to 50 students participated in the School Caisse program at our elementary school in Wendake. The School Caisse website - External link. It also helps parents get involved in their children's financial education.
