Caisse Desjardins de L'Île-d'Orléans has a long tradition of involvement with local youth. This is why it is so enthusiastic about the massive concerted effort being made by all Desjardins components toward youth outreach.
Over the past few years, the caisse has created various innovative projects to help teach its younger members about finances and to support their personal or professional projects.
Caisse Desjardins de L'Île-d'Orléans also contributes to Desjardins Foundation, which awards over a half million dollars in scholarships each year.
Our youth scholarship program will run from September 14 to October 9, 2020. To learn more about the program and to apply, see 2020 youth scholarship program.
To help introduce children to sound saving habits at an early age, Caisse Desjardins de l’Île d’Orléans actively supports educational school caisse services at local elementary schools.
Through the Community Development Fund, the caisse also supports young savers by holding a random draw among all children who made 7 deposits or more during a given year, regardless of the amount.
