Description
Paying off your debt is like exercising. You have to look at it like a marathon instead of a sprint, and pay back a little at a time with each paycheque. You’ll be proud of your constant effort, just like Virginie.

[Virginie is doing one-arm chin-ups. She’s holding a slush which she sips on in the other. The scene plays in a loop.]

[Voice over:] Improving your financial health isn’t the end of the world.

[Virginie is lifting weights and riding a stationary bike in her living room, while looking at the camera.]

Paying off your debt is like exercising. If you do a heavy workout once every three months, you won’t be in shape. You just get sore for a longer period of time. Just like that, you can’t pay off all your debt in one go. It hurts too much.

[Virginie is at her kitchen counter and speaks to the camera. She is at the left of the screen and holds a piece of kale in her right hand. Her right arm goes out of frame and reappears at the right of the screen, dropping the kale in a blender.]

It’s going to be a lot of work but you’ll see that you’ll enjoy running for fun more than you’ll enjoy running away from someone you owe money to.

[Voice over:] Alright, I’m signing up for a marathon!
