Specifications

Eligibility

The Authorized Payment (personal preauthorized debit) Service is available to all Desjardins credit cardholders.

Payment date

All payment options (minimum monthly payments, fixed-amount payments and payments in full) are withdrawn from your chequing or savings account on your Desjardins credit card account statement due date.

Payment notice

Upon receipt of the application, Desjardins Card Services will send you a notice indicating the month when your first Authorized Payment will be withdrawn from your chequing or savings account. Your monthly Desjardins credit card account statement will then notify you after the first month. Your chequing or savings account will be debited on your Desjardins credit card account statement due date.

Notification of changes

To ensure a high quality of service, please notify Desjardins Card Services of any change of financial institution or chequing or savings account number at least 7 days prior to the payment date.

Transaction fees

Your chequing or savings account may be subject to transaction fees for the withdrawals depending on your financial institution.

Request for refunds

Desjardins Card Services will reimburse you for amounts withdrawn in error within a maximum of 90 days following the withdrawals.

All requests for reimbursement must be submitted to your financial institution within 90 business days following the date on which the disputed withdrawal was made by your financial institution, or within 10 business days in the case of business preauthorized debits. All requests after this time period must be made directly to Desjardins Card Services.

Changing payment option / Ending the agreement

If you would like to change the payment option or end your Authorized Payment Service agreement, please notify Desjardins Card Services by phone at least 3 business days before the date of withdrawal from your chequing or savings account. By requesting a change to the debit described above, you waive the right to receive written notice confirming the change.
